Independence Day 73rd 15th August 2019 Today on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day of our Country, we are more in a sombre mood than celebratory...! We are a bit anxious, some are uneasy and some outraged,  but we have learnt that Dissent in this Democracy is non existent and not acceptable... Let us contemplate: If  the current government was pro those on whom it's levying penalties and restrictions and was supportive of their causes and issues; would we be so complacent and complicit with the Government? A gag order and tacit agreement to be Blindsided wouldn't be in Vogue... We All the Citizens of our Democratic Republic are in a Catch 22 situation...  Alienation and divisive tactics will create further schism within the fabric of unity of our country. One of the key aspects of human interaction and establishing connections, is Communication! Voila! CALL & CONNECT,  TEXT & CONNECT, EMAIL & CONNECT , FACETIME, WHATSAPP AND SKYPE,  TWEET, IG... phew... Endless List, unlimited access and options. High Octane, Hi Tech sophisticated Means of Communication. OMG!! Easypesy! Well! Not Really... We chat online,  we post updates and "Global Gyan" but don't really connect.. We've All become akin to the "Lady of Shalott" , who can observe only the thrice removed Reality... We may tweak our perspective and or Lens to leverage a situation, which has spiralled out of our control, but we don't communicate effectively. We sit on a pedestal gazing below and in our comfort zone, but lack the gumption to confront our reality... We are on Facebook,  but avoid communicating face to face... We post pics and updates, but Don't meet each other on a  one to one basis ! We have evolved int...

Hi! Its rather funny that I have decided to blog; after all one's thoughts are one's own and maybe its quite a trend to "let it all hang out" but does not work like that for all..! Topics are innumerable and yet Time is always at premium! Both to write and also to read! :) My sister has pestered me for long now to pen down some musings; and even though the medium of Internet promotes 'Self-aggrandizement like never before it is the love for the language which is a motivating factor for me to write! Welll......... there I go I have found the topic! Eureka !!!!!!! Hail to Archimedes and his penchant for 'Discovery' !! What motivates me write? Or anyone else for that matter!? Possibly the lure of greenbacks is a strong factor; what with Indian writing in English having"Arrived" in a big way!! !Voila! Msieu et Mesdames! I wonder why have I not followed well trodden path before... apologies to V.Seth and A.Roy; S Rushdie and several of their le...

A step ahead or away... same difference I guess; well here I go again; much in the celebrated 'fashion ' today! It is rather interesting to note that most celebs are self professed bloggers and seem to have cornered a niche segment in the blog world!! Celebs celebrating their having being 'arrived'?!! is this paradoxical or what!? It can't just be for an inexpensive publicity stunt; they are celebs right! welllllllll............. yeeesss so it is said!  However the segment that does not particularly bother about their status and will view them from a different 'looking glass' is right here; right now!

Time ...! The One aspect of Life which does not remain static is Time... It like the stream of our consciousness; sometimes rapidly,  sometimes slow;  flows... Our sense of it is captured in vignettes of memorable experiences; in a photo Album or a digital version of the same.  Oftentimes, a song, piece of music, a letter, a literary extract , a book,  a place or even an inanimate object reinforces our reminiscences of Time past and it segues into Time present.  Currently,  news headlines and broadsheets, TV and media both Visual and Social; function as a record of Time Past and reality check of Time Present: The more things change,  the more they remain the Same...! We may scrap our memories and discard old ways, Values,  ethics and  Laws ! We in essence, don't Change OURSELVES.  Our inner being...Therein lies the dichotomy, and scope for evolution.
