Teacher's Day: Raison D'Etré
Today marks an important day in Our Lives. We pay homage to the Educationist and the former President of our nation, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, on the occasion of his Birthday, today. All my colleagues who are ,who were and who will be, Teachers/ Educators. Why do we celebrate Teacher's Day? Perhaps, we don't have anything else to offer to our Teacher, other than mere platitudes and sweet words..? As a token of Our Appreciation; to exercise political correctness, fulsome praise, embellished with wordy gems...! Perhaps, this is enough... at least for those who are heaping ENCOMIUMS; never mind if its equally so for the recipients! The social structure is designed to cater to the affluent,the powerful; the ambitious, go getters, the successful and the famous, who're social networking experts.
